Music, Culture, and Unity Shine at Dakpema Palace in Tamale

Tamale witnessed a heartwarming celebration of peace and culture as the Bizung School of Music, founded by Mohammed Alidu, and the Rocky Dawuni Foundation, led by Rocky Dawuni, joined forces to promote unity between the Dagombas and Konkombas.

The event, held at the historic Dakpema Palace, marked the opening of the Playing for Change Festival , a festival dedicated to using music and art as tools for social harmony. The atmosphere was filled with rhythm, color, and connection as the Bunbong Cultural Troupe traveled from Bunbong to showcase their traditional performances, symbolizing togetherness through culture.

Chiefs and community leaders graced the occasion with powerful speeches on peace and coexistence, emphasizing that harmony among all ethnic groups in Northern Ghana is the foundation for progress and development. The festival stood as a beautiful reminder that through music and shared culture, unity can thrive.
