The maiden edition of the Northern Ghana FOTO FESTIVAL opened with excitement and admiration as people from all walks of life streamed into the Tamale Cultural Centre. Photographers, scholars, institutions, students, traditional leaders, art lovers, and entire families gathered under one roof, all eager to witness the power of visual storytelling at its finest.
From the vibrant atmosphere to the inspiring conversations happening in every corner, the opening day reminded everyone of the deep importance of celebrating culture, history, and identity through photography. Attendees were captivated by striking images that reflect the soul of Northern Ghana, its people, traditions, landscapes, and untold stories.
The festival, which spans until 21st November, invites the public to experience Northern Ghana through the lens of renowned photographers from the region and beyond. It is more than an exhibition; it is a journey, a classroom, and a celebration of who we are.
