GAIDA-COM PHOTOS AT NORTHERN GHANA FOTO FESTIVAL

You’ve seen the landscapes, the vast, sun-drenched savannas, the majestic baobabs. You’ve heard the stories of resilience and vibrant culture. But how do you hold it? How do you keep a moment from fading into memory?

For us at Gaida-Com, it’s not just about taking photos. It’s about listening. Listening to the laughter that echoes from a compound house, to the wisdom in an elder’s eyes, to the rhythmic pulse of a festival drum. Our camera is simply our notebook.

That’s why it was such a profound honor to have our work featured at the Northern Ghana FOTO FESTIVAL at the Tamale Cultural Center. To stand in that space, surrounded by the images of our home, was a powerful moment.

These photographs are more than ink on paper. They are a love letter to Northern Ghana. They are the determined face of a of a beautiful Dagbomba woman, the joyful dust rising from dancing feet at a Damba celebration, the quiet strength in a farmer’s gaze at the end of a long day.

This exhibition wasn’t just about displaying our work; it was about sharing a responsibility we hold dear, the sacred task of capturing and preserving our living history. It’s about ensuring that the stories of today become the cherished heritage of tomorrow.

We are so grateful for this privilege and for every soul who has let us point our lens in their direction. You are the true story. And we are just the humble keepers of the light.
