Ghana–Czech Partnership Empowers Bamboi Farmers with Essential Oil Processing Machines

On April 22, 2026, a meaningful step toward sustainable rural development was taken in Ghana when Ambassador Bílek met with Plant for the Planet Ghana Executive Director, Mohammed Rabiu Dannakabu. The meeting marked the official signing and launch of a community-focused project designed to empower farmers in Bamboi with practical tools and skills for long-term growth.

At the heart of the initiative is the provision of essential oil extraction and crusher machines equipment that will help farmers add value to their agricultural produce. Beyond just supplying machinery, the project also includes hands-on training, ensuring that beneficiaries can confidently operate and maintain the equipment while maximizing productivity.

This initiative forms part of the broader efforts of Czech Development Agency to support sustainable livelihoods through small-scale, high-impact local projects. By focusing on capacity building and value addition, the project aims to create new income opportunities for farmers while promoting environmentally conscious practices.

The machines powering this transformation are supplied by leading Czech companies, SEDA Africa Group and Farmet, highlighting a strong collaboration between the Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and Ghana 🇬🇭. This partnership not only strengthens agricultural innovation but also reinforces the importance of international cooperation in driving grassroots development.

As the project rolls out in Bamboi, it brings renewed hope to local farmers, equipping them not just with tools, but with knowledge, opportunity, and a pathway toward economic resilience.
